Quick Tips for Before Your Tattoo Appointment

  • Trust us! You’ll feel more able to withstand the pain of a tattoo with a good night’s rest!

  • We have noticed that when clients show up to their appointment with fully hydrated skin, the ink goes in super easy! Less hydrated skin tends to want to reject the ink.

A few days leading up to your appointment drink plenty of water and try to maintain a regular moisturizing routine.

  • The absolute best way to have a good tattoo experience is to eat beforehand! It is recommended to eat within 2 hours of your appointment start time, as getting tattooed on an empty stomach may lead to lightheadedness and even fainting!

  • Alcohol (and many pain relievers like Ibuprofen, Advil, even Alka-Seltzer) can thin the blood and cause unnecessary bleeding during your tattoo. Cannabis can heighten anxieties and involuntary twitching.

Beware the train

There is a lovely train about a block away from the shop that likes to stop on the tracks and block traffic. Notify your artist if you get stuck behind it! You may need to find an alternate route!

You’re in the right place!

This building’s entrance can be tricky to find sometimes! You are looking for the door on the North side of the building. The closest intersection is Oak St and 3rd!

You’ll know you’ve found it when you see this lovely mural done by our upstairs neighbors Kayla and Prudence
