Booking with artists
-
Each artist has their own favorite way of booking clients. Please refer to their individual profiles to see how to get booked!
-
Again, this is all dependent on how the individual artist sets their pricing. Our current artists charge around $100-$150 per hour of tattooing.
At this shop, we charge a flat rent to each artist, instead of a commission, so you can insure they are keeping their profits!
-
Tipping is always optional, but it is very much appreciated. The industry standard is to tip 15-25%. But PLEASE only tip if it is within your means ❤︎
If you’d like to tip in a non-cash way, please feel free! Small gifts, baked goods, fresh flowers, or jewelry all make amazing and beautiful tips.
-
Nope, at this shop we prefer cash! Most platforms like to take hefty percentages out in transaction fees, so cash is always best!
Again, each artist is different, so they will let you know if they prefer a certain payment method.
-
No, we are currently unable to accommodate walk-in customers. Our studio is private (not a storefront location), so we are by appointment only.
Day of your appointment
-
We cannot tattoo you if you do not have a valid, government-issued photo ID that indicates you are at least 18 years old.
That’s the major thing. Read more about what you should bring here
-
If you are sitting for a long tattoo, it might be a good idea to bring along water and snacks for a little blood sugar boost during our appointment.
However if you forget to bring some, we have an entire shelf and mini fridge stocked with snacks. Please help yourself!
-
Prioritize being comfy! Wear loose clothes that make the placement of your tattoo easily accessible.
There is always a risk of ink splatter. Although we try our best to minimize this, please wear clothes that you wouldn’t mind getting stained.
If your tattoo placement requires a bit more undressing to access and you are looking for more privacy, we always have a room dividing screen to block off visibility to the rest of the studio. Just ask your artist to set that up day of!
-
Of course! If you want to bring anything to distract you during your appointment, feel free! A book, headphones, video game, netflix show, anything you want!
-
Yep! And wear a mask! Where have u been?
-
Yes, unfortunately tattoos don’t feel amazing. However there are some things you can do to make sure you have the most comfortable experience, like arriving well-rested and hydrated! Learn more about how you can prepare before your appointment here.
A lot of people have likened it to the sting of a cat scratch or sunburned skin. Not pleasant, but totally bearable!
If you are really worried about the pain of a certain tattoo or placement, feel free to do some research on pre-appointment tattoo numbing options! We are more than happy to tattoo on numbed skin, just give a heads up if you are planning on doing so before coming into the shop.
-
If you want to, go for it! If you don’t, no worries! Shaving is a standard part of skin prep prior to a tattoo.
also u never have to apologize for having body hair ❤︎
-
Please let us know! We try to make sure all of our gloves are nitrile. Saniderm and similar bandages are latex free.
-
If you’d like to bring a guest for emotional support or if they made a long drive with you, feel free! We just ask that you give your artist a heads up and that you limit it to 1 guest.

This is actually something you might want to avoid. The first 2 weeks of healing are critical to optimal healing. You’ll want to avoid direct sunlight and swimming (this includes hot tubs, too) while your tattoo is healing.
-
This is rare!
But! With any procedure that breaks your skin’s protective barrier, you are susceptible to infection. However, this risk is significantly minimized with sterilized instruments, disinfected surfaces, and good practices.
If you suspect you have an infection, it is a good idea to let your tattoo artist know. However, prioritize seeking professional medical care!
-
This is dependent on a lot of factors for sure, but typically light exercise is totally fine with a fresh tattoo.
If you have the Saniderm bandage on, you’ll want to avoid activity that leads to excessive sweat, which could build up under the bandage. If this does happen, remove the bandage and give your new tattoo a good wash with a gentle soap.

Oh no! We hate this phase of the tattoo healing process! Mild itchiness is totally normal despite how uncomfortable it is. You’ll want to avoid scratching the freshly tattooed area, as you run the risk of lifting scabs, losing ink, irritating your skin, and/or getting the wound dirty.
Try lightly slapping the area (with clean hands!) and surrounding area to relieve some of the itching sensation. You might also want to add a thin layer of an unscented lotion to the area if it’s looking/feeling a little dry!
-
Tattoos take a surprising amount of time to fully heal. There have been studies showing that a tattoo continues to heal for months after the initial application.
However, a good rule of thumb for the skin barrier to be healed and protective again is 2 weeks.
Before the two weeks is up, you’ll want to avoid soaking/submerging your tattooed skin as that heightens the risk of infection. You’ll also want to avoid direct sun while your skin is healing.
-
We think so!
Sunscreen protects your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays. Not only is wearing sunscreen great for your skin, it can also keep your tattoos looking fresher for longer!
*Note: don’t put sunscreen on the open skin of a fresh tattoo. if you will be in the sun with a fresh tattoo, cover with clothing.
